Dr. Mark J. Capuzzi, DPM, AACFAS
Dr. Capuzzi, DPM, AACFAS, is a board-qualified foot and ankle reconstructive surgeon. He is a West Chester, PA native with strong ties to the area. He completed his high school education right down the road, at The Haverford School, where he was recruited for basketball and football. He then went on to complete his undergraduate education at Penn State University, from the Schreyer Honors College, with a degree in Movement Science and Kinesiology.
After graduating from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, with honors, and acceptance into the Pi Delta Honor Society, Dr. Capuzzi completed his surgical residency at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY. His residency had a strong focus on forefoot and rearfoot trauma, sports medicine, reconstructive orthopedics, and pediatrics. Following completion of residency, he continued his training, completing a fellowship at the PA Intensive Lower Extremity Fellowship, gaining additional expertise in flatfoot reconstruction, complex foot and ankle deformity correction, sports injuries, ligament reconstruction, bunion correction, and total ankle replacement. He is well versed on the newest technologies and most cutting-edge procedures in the field.
In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, fitness, basketball, and cheering for all Philadelphia sports teams. He is married to his wife Catie, who is a physical therapist. The two just welcomed their first child, a daughter, Zoey.
